Hey, I'm KT.

I wish KT stood for something cool, but it's just short for Katie, which is short Katherine.

I was born in California on ~FrIdAy ThE 13tH~ (in May lol). The most joyful month to be born on Friday the 13th. My family kindly relocated to Texas when I was 13. And now have 13 kids! Kidding. That would be amazing though. Good ole Lucky 13. No, but my husband (ole mustache -->) and I have five kids together. We like them a lot. And we currently reside in East Tennessee.

I've always loved photography. Back in the stone ages when only millionaires had digital cameras, I would take my parents' Canon Sure Shot 35mm camera and wreak havoc with my sister and friends. I documented everything. What day it was on the calendar. My sister with her first ever cellphone! My parents cooking in the kitchen. Nothing "extraordinary"- just everyday life. But each image held so much life- my life.

I've kept up that habit of documenting.

I know I am not alone in saying that life gets hard. Really hard sometimes. And photography really has been a means of grace to me in those times. It has allowed me to preserve sweet, precious moments of the people I love; it has given me a chance to reach back in time and relive God's kindness towards me. I want to remember the Lord's kindness and presence in my life, and photographs are a tangible reminder of just that.

And my hope is for it to be that for you too.
